A favorite perch

The girls all love to congregate on the Tonio carved stump of the old birch. Alice and Ellen shared many many busy hours of play, play, play.

The Galena Trail

This turned out to be our one hike of the summer... looking for goddesses along the Galena trail! We did not find any of the ceramic deities that were supposed to be hiding there but we found plenty in the flesh!

Sand Castles

Another of the delights of Vancouver is sand castle building at very low tide and then the ensuing and ultimatly hopeless battle of attempting to keep out the rising waters.

Canada Day at 7th Ave.

We had a very nice Canada day afternoon at the 7th Ave. neighborhood gathering in Doug and Candy's lane. It was about this time that Alice realized that we were not going to somehow magically end up at "Canada Day" which for her turns out to be the Silverton parade and races.
